Seuss inspired crafts: Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday and NEA's National Read Across America Day One Pretty thing has put together a roundup of Seuss projects. It's a nice mix of how-to's, printables and recipes. Most ideas are easy and require very basic materials which you probably already have on hand.

My favorite is this project for recycling a light bulb into a Cat in the Hat...How bright it is!

So today, when the kids come home from school amped about the doctor, you can chat away over a plate of green eggs, both chicken and jiggly, play a few rounds of Truffla Trees Dominoes and top off the day by making your very own Cat in the Hat striped hat and reading a good book.
